Frisco, Ferruginous Hawk

Frisco is a female Ferruginous Hawk, the largest member of the KG Hawks family, and is named after a small coastal town in North Carolina.

The Ferruginous Hawk is native to North America and is often used there for hunting. Females like Frisco have been known to weight as much as 2 kilograms and have a wing span of five feet! She has a hearty appetite and will eat as much as 4 ounces of food per day.

Frisco has quite the personality and loves nothing more than playing “tug of war” with her perch before jumping back on and chirping in triumph!
