KGS would like to thank Arthur and all his Blyth Battery volunteers for all their hardwork and making us all feel very welcomed at the show.
Blyth Battery situated in Northumberland is one of the few shows KGS travel over the border to attend. It is a free to enter show held over the weekend in mid - end May.
It is a show full of interesting displays from many of the other re-enactment groups from German (including ourselves and the frontline association) to British , American and Russia displays.
This years show was very well put on. We had an excellent site inside one of the two battery's which due to the gale blowing off the mainland turned out to be quite a blessing.
There was two battles at this show one per day involving the allies storming the beach-head. Again both were brilliantly executed by both sides.
In summary we cant wait to be back in 2012.
